Holding It All: The Alchemical Pathway of Transformation Monday, November 2 at 10:30 am - Noon PST
On All Soul's Day, we explore the lives and teachings of Mary Magdalene and St Francis and the lay community of artisans who followed in their footsteps: the Confraternities of Italy, Their story of creating art, music, beauty and also compassionate action during times of famine and plague is one of the most inspiring tales I know, and empowers us through their example to hold the grief, sorrow and fear of our times while also staying open to hope, harmony and joy. We will discover the alchemical pathway of transformation in a 90 minute session of art, music, story and ritual designed to hold us during this week of global turmoil, and nurture us with community, connection and stories of courage and beauty. Special guest: Parisian singer Catherine Braslavksy, who will teach us a Medieval song of consolation and devition, sung by the followers of St Francis
