In this three day retreat in the beautiful Sonoma wine country, we will explore the many stories of Mary Magdalene as teacher and spiritual leader through art, music, and literature, paying particular attention to the Gospel of Mary. We will delve into ancient spiritual practices for discovering our own inner light, including Lectio Divina, journaling, a candlelit labyrinth walk with live music, an anointing ceremony and an evening meditation on 333 images of Mary Magdalene. There will be opportunities for art making to create your own icon or collage of Magdalene, and our days will be framed with silent meditation, poetry, the singing of Gregorian chant at sunrise and sunset and an optional daily yoga practice.
