The Hero's Journey in Music, Myth, Art and Poetry Live seminar and online webinar next offered in Summer of 2017 Using Joseph Campbell’s blueprint of the Hero’s Journey and the Jungian understanding of the development of the psyche, we’ll examine the quest of the Hero throughout time as we discuss myths ranging from Parsifal's search for the Holy Grail to the Tales of Baba Yaga, encounter the visual arts through the centuries, revel in musical works of Beethoven, Schumann, Mozart, and Berlioz , and bask in the poetry of Rilke, Goethe, Mary Oliver, Anne Sexton and T.S. Eliot.
