A three day contemplative Holy Week retreat weaving together ancient liturgies with creative arts practices, inspired by the faithful and compassionate examples of the holy women who accompanied Jesus on his journey: Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary and the other female disciples present at the cross. We will partake in Taize services, a Maundy Thursday footwashing, a Good Friday lamentation procession of chant and poetry, the creation of nature art, a participatory musical drama (the Passion of Mary Magdalene) and a sunrise hilltop Easter service. Co-lead by Kayleen Asbo, Ph.D, musician Robin O’Brien and liturgist/interfaith minister Lizzie Berne De Gear.
